It’s Sunday, and the solar is lastly out. Two and a half inches of rain since midday Thursday, campgrounds surrounding Sturgis are a muddy mess. I left house in Spearfish at 0800 and headed to our little Black Hills BMW Riders group “Rally Avoidance Espresso” on a ranch SE of Speedy Metropolis. I took the I-90 down however rode house up by the Black Hills with 1000’s of my best mates.

155 miles.

We had a fairly good turnout for this group, at one level I counted eleven people sitting on the porch. Not all made my images.

On the best way house, visitors was heavy and gradual on US 385 from Hill Metropolis to SD 44, speeds averaged 40-45 mph, as soon as North of SD 44 speeds have been 40-55 with a lot of Southbound visitors however not a lot headed North.

As all the time, the din is deafening!
